About Our Farm

We are a traditional family business that has been growing and processing pumpkins for several generations. Our small operation is located in the picturesque Southeast Styria, in the heart of the Thermal and Volcanic Land region, on a hill near Weinberg an der Raab, close to Fehring. Recognizing that "pumpkins are surprisingly versatile," we continually develop new products such as our popular original pumpkin seed pesto, pumpkin chutney, pumpkin jam, sweet and sour pumpkin, and pumpkin noodles. Our pumpkin lard, available in four variations (truffled, truffle, chili, and classic), is a little-known gem for quick cooking.

We place great emphasis on quality and produce our pumpkin seed oil and roasted seeds fresh to order. Our products are made from perfectly ripened fruits and pumpkin seeds from protected geographical cultivation. By purchasing our products, you support our business and regional agriculture. Our "Styrian Pumpkin Seed Oil" is a protected EU trademark, guaranteed by the banderole.

About Johann Koller

After Johann Koller, a trained carpenter, joined the police force in Vienna in 1991, he was struck by homesickness, which gave rise to the idea of bringing a bit of Styria (in the form of pumpkin seed oil) to Vienna from his parents' mixed farm. A passion for new products quickly developed, and in 1999, the Kürbishof Koller brand was officially established. In 2003, Johann officially took over his parents' farm, initially as a side business, until he fully dedicated himself to pumpkins in 2016 and left the police force. Always on the lookout for ideas for innovative pumpkin products, it was important to Johann to think outside the box and venture into new creations. Family, as a significant support, was always important to Johann and remains essential for the operation of Kürbishof Koller.
